MMA Warm Up Drills
Whether it's the technical ground movements on the ground, or the sweet science of Boxing, drilling hard makes you faster, more powerful, and increases your skill significantly. Include these training exercises in your work out routines as part of your warm up routine to improve your abilities on the mat or in the street.
Stand-Up Drills
Boxing is known as the "Sweet Science." There is a lot more going on in the ring than just two guys pounding on each other. The key elements in Boxing are footwork, head movement, and keeping your form tight. Fighters drill like crazy, from day one, to get their form perfect. The place to begin is with basic footwork, while learning to throw propper straight punches. Moving with a punch is where people have the most difficuty, when they first begin. Their feet are all over the place, and those who are not experienced in any fighting methods have a tendency to chamber their punches, which actually robs you of power, and also alerts your opponent to wat you are about to do.

Different people visiting this website will have different backgrounds, or none at all. If you don't have any background learning how to strike, I recommend doing some Youtube research on the subject. You'll need to be focusing on perfect form, and if you are making huge mistakes while practicing, those mistakes will become a solid part of your fighting style, which is something you don't want.
First begin with Boxing alone, and then begin to include Muay Thai combos to add kicking, knees, and elbows. The reason for only focusing on Boxing is to get the footwork down before you start throwing kicks. However, this doesn't mean to neglect learning to kick. Just practice them on their own, for now.
Solo Stand Up Drills
Perform each exercise for no less than 60 seconds. In my own solo training, I like to perform them for 3 minutes each. When teaching, I'll run them for a minute, with no breaks, since we'll be working on techniques that day, as well.
